AIUTA official hearing on « The importance of lifelong learning, digital education and active aging as tools to increase employability, active participation in the society as well as to battle social exclusion » took place on site and virtually in Brussels EU Parliament on December 9th, 2021. Following Commissioner Schinas Margaritis, Vice President of the European Commission, Prof François Vellas did a presentation on « The experience of the Universities of Third Age, lifelong learning and social cohesion » and answered to MPs questions with Mirian Lexman from Slovakia and Mrs Rafalska on digital U3As experience and integration of rural and oldest senior students. MP Chairman of the hearing committee MP Angel and Social Affairs Parliament Committee will support AIUTA to develop more U3As in European Union Countries.
