Dr Sara Gordo, University Leira, did a presentation on AGEING@LAB research program to AIUTA EGB members on new research to maintain in the elderly population with quality of life, combating loneliness and social isolation. Results will be presented to AIUTA U3As. Prof Ricardo Pocinho invited AIUTA delegates to meet the Prof Dr Neila Osorio and team coming from Universidade Federal Tocantins, UMA Universidade A Maturidade from Amazonia, Brazil. Brazilian delegates presented an intergenerational program involving all seniors including the indigenous population. AIUTA will support this very innovative initiative and UMA will apply to join AIUTA in 2024.
