A large delegation from University Mahatma Gandhi, Kottayam Kerala, India came to Hong Kong to participate in the AIUTA ASIA International Conference at Hong Kong Metropolitan University, School of Professional and Continuing Education, April 1st 2025. Prof (Dr.) CT Aravindakumar, Vice-Chancellor Mahatma Gandhi University addressed the participants at the opening ceremony and Dr Toney Thomas did a presentation on the « Indian Model of U3A ». More than thirty senior students from U3A Mahatma Gandhi University participated in the international conference and field visits to « Jockey Club Smart Ageing Hub » with Prof François Vellas, AIUTA President. Group of Indian seniors performed with music and dance at the international conference on the first day. Mahatma Gandhi University will be hosted in India (Kottayam, Kerala) AIUTA Governing Board, January 2028.
